Phitias shows an intolerance for goblins, and Dirk picks his pocket while Phitias feigns camaraderie for the crowd.

  • The party decides to take the day off for rest and recuperation before a formal debriefing. They plan to donate some of the standard armor and weapons they retrieved during their mission to the Mornshields. A formal debriefing is scheduled the next day.

He provides the name of an officer to seek out there. The party learns that Morncastle is located on the other side of the cliffs, guarding the inlet to the bay.

  • Petr provides a detailed description of Longmorn's layout, including High Side, the Slants, Riverside, and various midways connecting these areas.

  • The party enjoys a meal at the tavern. A waitress named Lila serves them, showing a good sense of humor despite being grossed out by Dirk's request for goat piss.

  • Babi Danka shares her past adventures and the sacrifices she made. She reveals that a wizard named Ilka protects Longmorn with a dome once a year, using sacrifices to maintain it. • The party discusses the tower's nefarious power source. Babi Danka notes that many in Longmorn will be interested in this, and that it is likely to lead to heated debate.

  • Babi learns about the baby bear cub Dirk found in the tower. She suggests finding Leah, Coromyr and Evggen, who might be able to care for the bear properly until it is old enough to accompany Dirk. Dirk examines the brass knuckles he stole from Phitias, which enhance unarmed combat abilities.

  • Babi Danka uses a scroll to create a privacy bubble, muffling external sounds and ensuring their conversation remains confidential. The party engages in detailed conversations with Babi Danka, revealing more about Longmorn's history, factions, and personal stories.
    • Key revelations include the sacrifices made by Longmorn to maintain its protective dome and the complex dynamics between different factions within the town.
    • It is revealed that several of the towns prominent NPCs were in and adventuring band together, and that the loss of Babi’s leg and Standas diminished mental capacity was caused on failed quest to help Gilli get out of some hot water.

  • The best way to placate Phitias and the Brotherhood is discussed, as he and several other council members are likely to support the town factions taking over the tower. Babi supports leaving the tower mostly in the party’s hands and suggests they agree to Mornshields providing security, and the more arcane inclined NPCs getting engaged with the tower to keep the Brotherhood at a distance.

  • The party learn that the town has sent a spy to the camp where the A-Team adventurers are held once they were able to communicate with the prisoners. She reveals that the spy found that the camps and central stronghold are run by a vampiric being referred to as “The Eternal.”

  • The party discuss different ways of engaging with “The Eternal” including the possibilities of a full on attack by the town, a clandestine rescue, drawing the raiders out toward Longmorn, and a handful of others. They realize that the prisoners are not in immediate danger based on the spy’s reports and communications with the prisoners.

  • Shadow discusses the possibility of repairing the Wayward Heart wreck to give the party and Longmorn the capabilities of a deep water vessel. Babi directs her to seek out Seaglow, the “boss” of the Sailers and Fishers, and Droyehr, who has a surplus of dwarven manpower on his hands since an “incident” in the mines.

  • Babi inquires about everyones past and abilities, touching on:
    • Shadows piratical origins and ambitions of once again sailing the high seas.
